Aare Musulumi, Alhaji Daud Akinola Charges Muslim Women On Child Education
The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Akinola, De-Damak has charged Muslim women in the country to wake up to the call of teaching their children to the way of the Allah.
He made this call at the 82nd Anniversary and fund raising for the renovation of the Alasalatu Society of Nigeria and Wes Africa (ASONWA) Mosque held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He lamented that many of the societal problems facing the country fall on the part of parent’s inability to take good care of their children.
The Aare Musulumi stressed further that possibility of children going astray is very high if parents fail to teach their children in the religious way, adding that it will be difficult for such parents to reap the benefit of the children in the future.
“To get more involved in the propagation of Islam and also endeavor to teach their children in the way of the Allah in order to be useful for themselves and the country.” He stated. In their contributions, Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu and Chief Alani Bankole said that it was pertinent for Muslim women to be more alive to their responsibility in bringing up their children, particularly in the way of Allah.
Alake of Egbeland, who was represented by Alhaji Usman Obamewa said that role of women in the nation building could not be over emphasized, therefore, called on them to be more alive to carry out the responsibility of home keeping bestowed on them by the almighty Allah.
Chief Alani Bankole, in his own advice stated that there is need for Muslim women in the county to rediscover themselves not only for the benefit of their immediate family but for the sake of entire nation.
Earlier in his speech, Grand Patron, Alasalatu Society of Nigeria (ASONWA) and Baba Adinni of Egbaland, Sheikh Ahmad Rufai Akorede said that the association was founded basically to provide spiritual assistance and guidance for the Muslim Women in the country and beyond. Written by Kunle Gazali
