Support President Buhari’s efforts for the quick recovery of economy, Gov. Ajimobi charges APC South
The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has charged the South West leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contribute to the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari in order to hasten the quick recovery of the country's dwindling economy.
Senator Ajimobi stated this at the All Progressives Congress South West Conference held at Premier Hotel, Ibadan tagged "the South West and the Challenges of Change in Nigeria."
He said the time has come for the leaders of the party in the South West to reposition themselves for the unity, cooperation and consultation for better service delivery for the party and the country in general.
Senator Abiola Ajimobi further said that articulate positioning of our leaders in the South West region will enable them to prepare position papers either on economy, security or formulate policies to support the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari to hasten the quick recovery of the country's economy that was wrecked by the last administration.
He prescribed total deregulation of oil market as the only way out of the present predicament in the oil sector of the country.
Meanwhile, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the State of Osun Governor in his message disclosed that what Nigeria needs at this very point in time is total restructure and embracement of genuine and true federalism.
Governor Aregbesola disclosed further that the presidential system of government that is in practice in the country is tantamount to wasting of our much needed resources. He added that those calling Nigeria a rich country are playing on the people intelligent because the level of poverty is increasing day by day.
Ogbeni Aregbesola however revealed that in January 2013 during former President Jonathan administration, the total amount shared among states from the federation account was #1.2 trillion, while in April this year it was #21 billion, showing that the country has been run aground and needed urgent and drastic solutions.
