UK Big Boy, Kola Raji Celebrates His Mum @ 80


For the family, friends and well-wishers of Alhaja Kubrat Abake Raji, it was a celebration galore as the Matriarch of the Raji Family reach another milestone 80 years.

It was indeed a very big occasion to have a happy hour together as people converge in the city of Ibadan from far and near even from abroad to make this a day to be remembered for a very long time to come.

The event which was covered by Apreel 1 TV, held at the BASHMOL EVENT CENTRE, Off old Ife road, Ibadan Oyo state capital.

According to the Quran, the years of man three hundred and ten years. But through the grace and strength given by God, man could live beyond threshold.

Alhaja Ruburat Abike Raji’s case is a fulfilment of this Quranic statement which many have not have the privilege to reach and that she did so in good health was part of the reason, the children, particularly, Mr. Kolawole Raji in conjunction with their father and other siblings called on to felicitate with them and their mother.

It was a class ‘’A’’ event where captains of industries, politicians, people in the military, respected Islamic scholars and ‘’who is who’’ in the society gathered.

Being a devoted Muslim, the programme started with sermons and prayers from the Chief Imam of Offa who in addition to harping on the faith based life of the celebrant as noteworthy to be emulated, wished more fruitful years ahead.

According to him, those who are faithful in all things of Allah, Allah will remain faithful to them also.

The husband of the birthday Mama was grateful to God for sparing his life and that of the celebrant, saying that he had never had cause to regret their union. He added that she had been all man would want in his wife throughout the years.

Mr. Kolawole Raji, his siblings and some of the grandchildren and great grand children who spoke on Red Carpet were full of praise for mama at 80.

Mr Kolawole Raji was of the view that if all mothers could be like his mother the world certainly be a better place.

‘’She is a wonderful mother. A loving mother. She is kind and devoted to us the children when we were growing up. Even up till now and our own children too. She is nice to those who are not even part of our family. She is devoted to her husband our father. I wish could live on and on and on’’ Kola submitted.

Popular Yoruba artiste, Saidi Balogun was also on hand to felicitate with mama at the event where every assorted edibles, drinks and hilarious comedy and entertainment by the musical band to make the heart merry.
