Wenger reveals reasons for henry's arsenal exit

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has explained why Thierry Henry’s departure from the club was best for all parties.
The 39-year-old, who is the club’s record scorer, decided to turn down an offer to coach the Gunners under-18 side full-time when told he would not be allowed to continue his media commitments with Sky while in the role.
Wenger said Henry had admitted it was not easy for him to analyse the club in his punditry role and then fulfill his coaching duties, so the exit was the right call.
‘There was a lot of debate about Thierry Henry not staying here.
I think Thierry Henry has done an exceptional job here but it is an uncomfortable position for him,’ he told Arsenal Magazine.
‘He agreed that it was not easy for him to deal with talking about Arsenal during the weekend and then coming in.
‘You want him to be free from his statements and it’s always difficult for him to be really objective sometimes, and even a bit harsh, and then come in and face the players. It will be easier for him.’
