In this interview with Glitter News Crew, the Accountant-turned-musician narrated the story behind the album and what his fans should be expecting from him among other interesting issues.
Can you please introduce yourself to our readers?
I am Aderemi Isayode popularly known as Remi Glamour.
Your educational background?
I went to Methodist Primary School, Oke-Ado and I had my secondary education at Oke-Ado High School also in Ibadan. I later proceeded to The Polytechnic, Ibadan where I bagged National Diploma in Accounting.
As an accountant, why did you choose music as a career?
I can say music is a Call. I never thought I would become a musician during my childhood days. But the story changed at my Church, The Light of Christ Church, Odo-Ona Elewe Ibadan. There, I belonged to a Group called 'All for Christ Gospel Singers' and it was in this group I developed interests and cut my teeth as a musician.
What was your parents reactions then?
They supported me when they heard that I was into music. My mother was once a chorister before she arose to the position of Iyalode Egbe Akorin. I can say authoritatively that i got the musical gene while in my mother’s womb.

The Album (Ogo-Titun) that you produced for King Sunny Ade was awesome. Did you ever think of doing such a great work before?
I can say yes because I have a believe that I will do something unique for a great musician but I never thought it would be King Sunny Ade. It all started like a joke when a friend approached me that I should be prepared that he has a big project that he wanted to package and he wanted me to be a part of it. He later revealed to me that he was the event coordinator of the king Sunny Ade's birthday ceremony which was held at Ooni’s Palace. He told me that I would be among the artistes that will be performing on that day.
Along the line, I told him that I wished to wax an album for King Sunny Ade and he instantaneously agreed; he made a statement that he has faith in my ability His words of encouragement spurred me to wax an album for King Sunny Ade and I thank God that it is accepted by all and sundry.

You featured many artistes in that album; Can you reveal the secret behind this?
I can say that it’s a mystery. At initial sage, I advised the event organizer that we should feature few artistes in the album and he agreed but the funniest part of it was that, we consulted one popular artiste in this country (i am not going to mention his name) we told him about our plans, the guy refused to feature in the album and directed us to his manager for negotiation at the end of the day, the deal failed. So,we also discussed with another popular female artiste and she also declined our request. After all these disappointments, we now agreed that we should feature upcoming artistes in the album and that was how we came up with the idea of titling the album “Ogo-Titun” (New Glory).
Can you tell us how you got your inspiration?
(He bursted into laughter) I get my inspiration from God and God alone. To be
frank, I was so elated when I performed at King Sunny Ade’s birthday in Ile-Ife. In fact, it was like a dream come true.
Apart from Ogo-Titun Album; do you intend to wax any album for your fans?
Ah my brother, I am going to release another album soon. People should watch out. People that know me very well will agree with me that I have been in the music industry for a long time and I have never disappointed them. So, my
next album will hit the market soon.
How would you describe your kind of music?
I sing a fusion of Gospel, Highlife and Juju music.
What have been the challenges so far?
Challenges are part of life, because no one can succeed without challenges but I thank God that I have been able to overcome any challenges that comes my way.
How many album have you produced so far?
I have been in the music industry for over 20 years. I did so many albums with my church group. But my personal and the first professional album was produced in 2002 which was titled 'Glamour Dance'.
Who are your role models in the music industry?
They are too numerous to mention. I love and respect King Sunny Ade, Evang. (Dr) Ebenezer Obey, Victor Olaiya and Lagbaja.
Where would you want to see yourself in the next 3 years?
I am praying to God to take me to a higher level.
How do you cope with your female fans?
(Laugh).. To be frank with you, as a musician, if women do not accept your music, that means you are not a good musician. I cherish women a lot and I thank God that i never lack them.
Who are the artistes will you like to collaborate with?
Ah! That’s a very crucial question. I will like to collaborate with King Sunny Ade, 2face Idibia and Olamide. Lagbaja is an artiste that I also cherish and i wouldn't mind working with him also.
Your message for your fans..
I thank them for their supports; I also implore them to continue supporting me because without them I am nobody.
