Dr. Yemi Adedeji Opens Multi Million Naira Health Assessment Care Centre In Ibadan

Medical practitioner, Dr. Yemi Adedeji of Health Informatics and Consultancy has advised government at various levels to partner with health care foundations in the country in order to make effective and quality health care delivery available and affordable to all and sundry. Dr. Adedeji gave the admonition during the official commissioning and dedication of his Health Care Assessment Initiative facilities located at 8A, Ondo Street, Old Bodija, Ibadan, capital of Oyo State. He noted that the level of health care assessment in the country is very low when compared to other developed countries in the world, and in the process denied many people opportunity to have access to information status about their health, let alone of knowing necessary treatment. Dr. Yemi Adedeji reiterated that new initiative like this will enable public to have full and adequate information and knowledge about their health status, which will lead to evaluation or assessment in order to make judgment that will lead to accurate treatment. While explaining rationale behind the public health and assessment initiative, Dr. Adedeji emphasized that it is pertinent for everybody in the country to understand relevance and benefits of continuous health assessment which will automatically lead them to where affordable and accurate treatment will be taken. He noted that the facility was deliberately established to ensure that continuous health assessment is available and affordable to all and sundry to check up cases like blood pressure, blood sugar level blood geometry as well as urine analysis and many others on regular basis and at reasonable and affordable price. Dr. Adeyemi explained that lack of information about health status and access to where to have health evaluation have been major problems confronting people in the country, and part of effort to contribute his quota towards quality health care delivery prompted the initiative. In his lecture, Dr. Adebayo Adejumo of University of Ibadan described assessment as a collection of subjective and objective data with the hope ameliorating some cost by providing individual with needed health information. He explained that assessment of health helps in the prevention of health related problems before they occur.
