A presiding pastor of the Crown of Glory Ministry, Richard Aofolaju has counseled campus media groups to tread softly while carrying out their reports on the activities on the campuses especially the cases concerning members of secret cults on the campuses.
Pastor Aofolaju who disclosed this while speaking as guest speaker at one of the activities marking the press week of the Press Club of the Polytechnic Ibadan said the group should not allow their youthful exuberance to pitch them against members people especially members of occultist group on campuses.
The clergy sitting the case of his brother as example who was vibrant as a campus journalist during his under graduate days on campus in exposing the activities of cultists on campus but had to flee for the safety of his life when the bad boys descended on him for revenge even much after he had graduated from the school.
“My cousin who was once like you is still on the run now, for what he did unknowingly as a campus reporter in the 90s. Though, is good to be pro-active and vibrant as a student, but one still has to apply wisdom.
“My cousin, Adeyemi Aofolaju was a thorn in the flesh of member confraternities through a University magazine being published on campus in the 90s. The situation led to the extent that the secret society made a vow to take his life if he dares to return to the country, so what you’re doing now unknowingly can hunt you in the future if you don’t apply wisdom”, the clergy noted.
He however, urged them to seek for the God’s divine guidance in
everything they do and be shrewd in taken decision.
