Khalid Masood was on WhatsApp just minutes before he launched an attack in Westminster. The 52-year-old was on the messaging app at 2.37pm on Wednesday, according to Mailonline. Best friends of London terror attack victim played Queen songs to comfort him as he died This was around two minutes before he drove into people on Westminster Bridge and then stabbed PC Keith Palmer to death. In total five people died, including Masood who was shot dead at the scene. Up to 40 other people were injured. The news about Masood being on WhatsApp has raised concerns he may have been working with other people. The Prime Minister confirmed Masood had been known to security service MI5 but police said there was no indication he was going to launch an attack. Police have now released a picture of him and revealed his birth name was Adrian Russell Ajao. He also went by the name Adrian Elms. Mark Rowley, Scotland Yard’s top anti-terror officer, also confirmed two further ‘significant’ arrests had been made in connection with the attack. Mr Rowley said: ‘As I have said, our investigation focuses on understanding his motivation, preparation and associates. ‘Whilst there is no evidence of further threats, you will understand our determination to find out if he either acted totally alone, inspired by terrorist propaganda; or, if others have encouraged, supported or directed him.’ A massive police investigation is under way after a terror attack in central London. Here’s everything we know so far about the Westminster attack: Five people have died – a police officer, the attacker, a woman named as Aysha Frade, 43, US tourist Kurt Cochran and 75-year-old Leslie Rhodes succumbed to his injuries in hospital a day after the attack. The officer was Pc Keith Palmer, a 48-year-old husband and father with 15 years of police service. A minute’s silence was held at 9.33am to honour Palmer, whose police shoulder number was 933. Ten people have been arrested and six addresses raided across London, Birmingham and elsewhere. One person has been released on police bail. The woman was killed on Westminster Bridge as a number of pedestrians were mowed down by a grey Hyundai i40. It is believed the man was also killed in the incident on the bridge.
Seven people are in a critical condition, and 29 have been treated in hospital. One woman ended up in the Thames and was treated for serious injuries after being pulled from the water. The attacker, has been named as Khalid Masood by police, although he used several alias. Armed with two large knives, he jumped out of the car after smashing it into the railings encircling the Palace of Westminster, fatally stabbing Pc Palmer as he entered the grounds. He was shot dead moments later by another officer.
