From Africa To Europe! Over 400 Migrants Rescued off the Coast of Libya

Over 400 migrants were rescued off the coast of Libya. A wooden boat full of migrants from places like Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Gambia, and Bangladesh were taken into aid workers’ boats.

The rescue mission, headed by Spanish organization Proactiva Open Arms, took almost five hours.

Many of the rescued were seasick and suffering. Once aboard rescue boats, they embraced rescue workers and sang. Besides the men, 16 women and two children were rescued.

The rescue boats are headed to Sicily to disembark the migrants.
