Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace: Conte's men suffered shocking defeat at home
Chelsea were beaten 2-1 at Stamford Bridge by Crystal Palace but Conte's men still stay 7 points clear after today's shocking defeat
Antonio Conte's side had won their past 10 league games at Stamford Bridge and had not lost there in any competition since 16 September.
Chelsea took their lead just in 5 minutes. Joel Ward showed Eden Hazard to the byline, with the Belgium international far too fleet-footed for the Palace full-back, he pulled it across for Fabregas, who steered the ball home. Great pass from Fabregas to start the move, and he was in the right place to finish the return.
But Crystal Palace put up a strong performance soon enough and scored the leveler. Zaha controlled the ball well in the box, drove into a pocket of space, before drilling an effort into the bottom corner, through the legs of the defender. After scoring a fabulous goal in midweek on international duty, Zaha has stepped up with another beauty here.
The in-form visitors retook the lead just after 2 minutes! Christian Benteke ran his way through the heart of the Chelsea defence, the ball broke to Zaha, he laid the ball back to Benteke, who took a touch, before lofting the ball over a stranded Thibaut Courtois to sensationally turn the match on its head!
