Friends, Nollywood, Govt. abandoned Olumide Bakare - Family Member
A family member of the popular Yoruba actor, Olumide Bakare has revealed to the Glitters News Online on how a popular troublesome landlord in the rested TV Series, Koko Close was abandoned by friends, Nollywood and government till point of death.
A source who does not want his name to be disclosed told Glitter News that “the veteran actor aged 65 has been suffering with heart/lung ailment for a very long time.”
“During his illness, we contacted some of his colleagues in the film industry; some gave us flimsy excuses while some refused to pick up our calls.”
“If you can remember, Olumide Bakare came out in 2016 to ask Nigerians and government for help to treat his ailment and most of the donors that assisted us then were from non-charity organizations.” Our source disclosed
“He was discharged from the University College Hospital (UCH) last year after he was diagnosed with a respiratory disorder problem and since then, is health has been worsened.”
“It was this week that, he felt somehow and he called his Personal Assistant to take him to UCH but unfortunately he dead on arrival at the hospital.” He submitted
During his lifetime, Olumide Bakare took part in the blockbuster movies and soap such as Wale Adenuga’s Papa Ajasco and company and he also featured in numerous Yoruba and English movies.
