Samuel Abisai, the winner of Sportpesa Mega Jackpot arrived in style at Bukhungu stadium some minutes past noon on Saturday.
The crowd that was packed in the stadium, waited eagerly before the man of the moment arrived.
Boda boda operators joined the convoy causing traffic snarl along the Kakamega – Webuye road where Abisai, flanked by his parents and relatives received a standing ovation.
He was led to the VIP tent by a team of bouncers where Luhya community elders accorded him traditional reception.

Abisai who bagged KSh221, 301, 602, the biggest payout in African gaming history so far on the SportPesa platform- sat in the middle with his father, Abisai on his right and his mother Magret on the left.

When he rose to make his speech, Abisai said he will use part of the grand cash to assist the poor in Sichirai Slums where he grew up.
He also said he would help talented slum youths in Kakamega by setting up a football academy in collaboration with Sportpesa.

Abisai, 28, who was unveiled to the public on Tuesday by SportPesa CEO, Ronald Karauri, has been a topic of huge national and international interest following his windfall that came when he correctly predicted 17 out of 17 games in last week's MJP.
Born into a family of 12, Abisai was forced to the streets early in life before being sponsored through school by Compassion International until he joined University of Nairobi to study Mandarin.
He completed his studies in China before being employed by a Chinese firm in Kenya on his return and was introduced to gaming by his younger brother last year.
The soft-spoken Abisai played last week's MJP twice before he made history with his winning ticket.
Like all other big winners on their platform, SportPesa will stand by Abisai with the company putting a team of skilled financial and legal advisors at his disposal.
"He should be worth more than KSh221 million in the next two or three years. I will make sure he spends his money well. SportPesa will walk with him," Karauri assured.
