White House on lockdown as another intruder tries to break in
The White House was placed on lockdown after yet another fence jumper tried to get in.
In what is by now quite a familiar scenario, a person attempted to jump over a bike rack used as a barrier along the north fence of the mansion where President Donald Trump lives and works.
The US Secret Service’s Twitter account confirmed the lockdown, adding that the suspect is now in custody.
Security was still very tight from Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan’s visit earlier in the day.
There have already been several instances of fence jumpers attempting to gain access to the White House this year, since President Trump’s inauguration in January.
