World Cup: My in-laws will kill me if Super Eagles fails to qualify – Mikel Obi

Former Chelsea star and Tianjin Teda captain, John Mikel Obi says his in-laws will not accept any excuse if Nigeria do not qualify for next year’s World Cup.

While speaking with Fifa.com, Mikel said “My wife is Russian. And many of our relatives and friends are from Russia; they are all expecting Nigeria to qualify for the next World Cup.

I think they will kill me if I fail them.” Mikel told Fifa.com ahead of Super Eagles crucial tie against Cameroun on August 30th in Uyo.
