Only funds can save Shooting Stars from relegation – Chairman, Supporters Club
Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan Supports Club has stated clearly that what the team requires is funds to bail it out of relegation.
Speaking in Ibadan, Chairman of the Club, Olufemi Oyeniyi Okikiolu said fund is needed to run so many expenses that will enhance the performance of the team.
He disclosed that fund is required for a week and comprehensive camping done by the team pointing out that what the team does is selective camping where few players are camped while others come from their various homes.
The chairman revealed further that funds are also required to pay the allowance and salaries of the players who are owned four month salaries and allowances.
Oyeniyi said further that it is only in a condition where the tam are paid thier salaries and allowances up to date that a better performance can be guaranteed adding most of the players are breadwinning who have families they cater for.
He therefore implored Governor Isiaq abiola Ajimobi to release funds for the tam as this is the only through which the team can wriggle out of relegation where it has found itself in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
