OAU Students write project on Jenifa’s Diary

Funke Akindele and her franchise television program “Jenifa’s Diary” have been celebrated in the academic, confines of the famous, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile –Ife, Nigeria, as a student, Olosunde, Aderonke Oyindamola, has written and submitted her final year project to the schools department of linguistic that she centered on Akinde grammatical creations. The topic tagged “a linguistic analysis Of Jenifa’s English in Jenifa’s diary”. Submitted to the department of linguistics and African languages, is seen as the first educational consideration for any piece of creation from new generation talents and is viewed as a huge development in adding value to the creative industry as trained mind will begin to join the entertainment industry fresh from academic halls of the Nation. Akindele Olufunke Ayotunde, popularly known as Funke Akindele Bello, born August 24, 1976 in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria is a Nigerian actress. She came to limelight after featuring in popular United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) sponsored sitcom; “I Need to Know”, which ran from 1998 to 2002.

In 2009 she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Funke Akindele also plays the lead character in the hit TV show Jenifa's Diary, alongside Fisayo Ajisola, Falz, Lolo and more. The show is a spin-off from the movie titled Jenifa
