Bola Are plans big for 40th anniversary of Baba Ku Ise

As plans for the 40 years anniversary of Baba Ku Ise, maiden album of renowned Gospel Music Icon, Evangelist (Dr) Bola Are gathers momentum, activities to make the event a worthwhile have been outlined.

Some of the activities include courtesy visit to the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, South West Governors and wife of the Kwara State Governor.

According to a release by the Secretary of the anniversary planning committee, Mr Richard Thomas, the visit is part of preparation for the programme. The event will hold on November 4, 2017 at the Grace Hall of the magnificent Jogor Centre, opposite Liberty road, Oke Ado, Ibadan by 10am.

It will be recalled that Baba Ku ise hit the music stand on August 27, 1977 on the record label of Okiki Jesu Sound, a development which had since then launched Dr Bola Are in limelight in the music industry. According to her, the 40 years anniversary of Baba Ku Ise was a directive from God to celebrate God’s faithfulness on her sojourn in the gospel music industry.

Going memory lane on how she conceived the album on June 1973, Evangelist Bola Are said she was going to her office at Tewogbade and Sons around challenge area, Ibadan when she suddenly had a divine encounter and fell into a trance for hours where the song was delivered to her from the spiritual realm. Dignitaries expected at the programme include the General Overseer, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Evang. (Dr) Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, King Sunny Ade, Pastor Adelakun of Ayewa fame and host of others.
