Ooni's Palace Turns To 'Mecca' As Olojo Festival Begins (Exclusive Pix)
The ancient town of Ile-Ife, the cradle of the Yorubas, was agog with thousands of tourists who came from different parts of the world to witness the begining Olojo festival, one of the biggest festivals in Africa. The festival which began earlier today at the exotic palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, had the highly revered monarch hosting dignitaries and tourists alike.
The host, Oba Adegeye, who dressed in all white attire sat closely with the representative of the President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Isaac Adewole, the Minister of Health, throughout the event.
Olojo Festival showcases the richness of Yoruba culture as well as promotion of yoruba cultural heritage, not only in africa, but to all the continents of the world.
Different groups such as Oodua People's Congress (OPC), Osun, Sango, to mention but a few added glamour & glitz to the ocasssion.
