Chelsea snubbed at London Football Awards as Harry Kane and Ian Wright claim prizes

Chelsea were left empty handed at the London Football Awards on Thursday night as Harry Kane was named Premier League Player of the Year. Despite being the reigning champions and the most successful team in the capital in the modern era, every prize the Blues were up for went elsewhere. Kane was the big winner of the night, claiming the Premier League Player of the Year gong. Crystal Palace’s Roy Hodgson won Manager of the Year and Ryan Sessegnon took Young Player of the Year. The Fulham starlet also took the English Football League Player of the Year award. Meanwhile Ian Wright was recognised for Outstanding Contribution.
