Nigerian Engineer, Ogochukwu Ezeizomor turns beggar in Italy
Nigerian engineer, Ogochukwu Efeizomor has turned to a beggar in Italy as he awaits his asylum application.
Efeizomor, 30 years old is a trained civil engineer. But he claimed he lost his job with an oil company in abuja, after a series of health problems.
He decided to leave Nigeria in 2016, reaching Libya and then boarding a smugglers boat toward Italy.
Ogochuckwu who resides in Lecco, a lakeside town for migrants takes a train to the country's financial capital, Milan.
He has now settled on a specific corner near a coffee bar and a garage, about a 20 minute walk from the stations, he stands with a yellow wool cap to ask passersby for money.
Now, he is awaiting for his asylum application to be processed, seeking international protection based on human rights violation suffered in his native country.
