Naira Marley saga: EFCC officials playing our song when they arrested us - Zlatan Ibile opens up

Several days after regaining his freedom from the custody of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Yoruba rap star, Zlatan Ibile, has opened up about the events that led up to his arrest and that of his colleague, Naira Marley.

Zlatan narrated that the whole event played out on Naira Marley’s birthday while they were all at home anticipating the celebration ahead.

He said after he had shared pictures of the celebrant on his social media pages, he went inside his room to get some rest. His rest, however, was cut short after someone came to bang at his door and he opened up to people donned in red jackets.

Zlatan said the sight of the officials jolted his memory back to the Am I A Yahoo Boy music video, and made him wonder if the arrest scene that was portrayed in the video was really coming to life. Sharing further, he said the officials made their way into his apartment and rounded up some of his gadgets before they all headed to the EFCC office.

The rapper said while they were on their way, the officers made sure to thrill them with some of their popular singles like Able God, Am I A Yahoo Boy, etc.

On whether he is a yahoo boy, Zlatan teasingly queried if he shares any semblance with an online fraudster.
